Iowa Research Park
The University of Iowa Research Park in Coralville, 10 minutes from campus, supports research-based startups with flexible leasing and incubation, fostering over 150 UI spinouts since 1989 to grow and innovate.

BioVentures Center
The BioVentures Center at Iowa Research Park, an 80,000 sq ft facility, blends offices, labs, and shared spaces like an atrium, hosting headquarters and incubator offices for startup collaboration.

Translation Research Incubator
The Translational Research Incubator (TRI) on UI campus provides specialized facilities and university resources to four biomedical startups focused on commercializing University of Iowa innovations.

Medical Innovation Launch Laboratory
Opening in 2026, the Medical Innovation Launch Laboratory will repurpose the old College of Pharmacy’s 3rd floor into a space with resources for faculty and physicians to develop early-stage business ideas on campus.
Burge Hall Makerspace
The Office of Innovation is a proud sponsor of the Burge Hall Makerspace, a design studio in Burge Dormitory that equips first-year engineering students with tools and supplies to test ideas and build prototypes, fostering hands-on innovation on campus.
