Tre'Andice Williams is driven by a passion for asking bold scientific questions and translating discovery into meaningful improvements in human health. As a Ph.D. candidate in the University of Iowa Neuroscience Graduate Program, her research explores the role of nuclear tau in early brain development and how its regulation may contribute to neurological vulnerability. Through molecular biology, cell culture models, and human tissue analysis, she seeks to uncover mechanisms that could one day inform new therapeutic strategies. Beyond the laboratory, Tre'Andice is inspired by the challenge of moving fundamental discoveries toward real-world applications that benefit patients and communities. She views innovation as the bridge between scientific understanding and societal impact, bringing together research, medicine, and entrepreneurship to address unmet needs. As an aspiring physician-scientist, she hopes to integrate translational neuroscience research with compassionate clinical care, developing innovative approaches that improve outcomes for patients with neurological disorders.
