Biography

A 37-year veteran of the medical device industry, Mr. Stamp has led global functions in Marketing, Business Development, Operations, Sales, Strategy, and R&D for companies ranging in size from multi-nationals to small cap. He most recently served as Sr. Vice President, Global Marketing and Strategy for Smiths Medical. Prior to joining Smiths, Carl spent twelve years with Medtronic in numerous executive leadership roles including VP/GM of the corporation’s Research and Education facility, VP of Global Operations for the $3.5B Spinal and Biologics business, and VP/GM of the Cervical Spine Division. He joined Medtronic in 2002 following the successful IPO of Wright Medical Technology, where he spent sixteen years in roles with progressively increasing responsibilities, the last five as VP of Global Marketing and Business Development. Utilizing his executive experience, Carl now sits on several boards and advises investment firms and med-tech

companies in M&A targeting and diligence, commercial and manufacturing strategy, global market planning, as well as product and portfolio assessments. In addition to his board and company advisory roles, Mr. Stamp is an active member of the angel investing community, leading the med-tech pillar of Minneapolis based Gopher Angels. He is also an advisor to the University of Minnesota Technology Commercialization Office. Beyond business, Carl is an avid outdoorsman enjoying time with his family skiing, golfing, hunting, flyfishing, hiking and cycling.
